Album Art
My dream when I was growing up was to be an album cover artist and my favorite band was the Grateful Dead. In 1995 my art was chosen for “Hundred Year Hall,” the first of 30 albums I would design for Grateful Dead Records. In 1997 I worked with New Monsoon on their album V and have continued to work with them and their various side projects. The latest being “Diamonds and Clay.”
Project description
Album covers are extremely fun to create. In my days with Grateful Dead Records I was also responsible for finding photos, people to write liner notes, publishing information, printing, and any subsequent advertising. This was a huge amount of work, but being the person in charge of it all taught me a lot. I’ve gone on to help musicians release and promote their own independent CDs and have even done some recording and engineering myself.
